Challenge
Iceland is already one of the world's most visually distinctive travel destinations. The challenge was not to show more spectacular landscapes, but to find a different reason to choose them.
The campaign responds to a generation of travellers overwhelmed by constant stimulation, packed itineraries and the pressure to experience more. Instead of presenting Iceland as another collection of places to visit, the concept reframes it as a place that removes the unnecessary.

Big Idea
Off Earth. On Soul.
Iceland feels almost extraterrestrial - vast, raw and unfamiliar. The campaign turns that physical distance into an emotional proposition: the further the landscape seems from everyday life, the closer the traveller can get to themselves.
A journey outward that leads inward.

Visual Direction
The visual language is built around an extreme contrast of scale: monumental landscapes and a solitary human figure. The person becomes both a measure of Iceland's vastness and the emotional centre of the campaign.
Restrained typography, generous space and a limited visual vocabulary allow the landscape to carry the emotional weight. The recurring blue figure creates continuity across outdoor, digital and social formats.

Campaign System
The concept was developed as an integrated campaign across film, outdoor and digital channels. Each format expresses the same transition from external scale to internal stillness.
The TV concept moves gradually from an almost alien landscape towards a single human presence. Outdoor places that stillness inside dense urban environments, while social and performance formats reduce the message to short moments of pause.

Production
AI-assisted image generation was used as part of the visual development and prototyping process, alongside art direction, image editing and compositing. Concept, campaign strategy, creative direction and final visual decisions by me.

TV commercial concept
The film is built around a gradual shift in scale - from the otherworldly to the intimate.
We begin at a distance: a vast Icelandic landscape, almost alien. “Off Earth.” appears on screen as the camera slowly moves forward. Mountains grow, the glacier unfolds and the landscape becomes increasingly tangible.
The camera continues until a solitary figure emerges - small, calm and grounded within the vastness.
The final title appears: “On Soul.” A journey from the scale of the landscape to a moment of human stillness
Social & digital campaign
Across social and performance formats, the campaign retains the same central idea while adapting its voice to the pace of each channel.
Short-form executions reduce the concept to its essential contrast: noise versus silence, distance versus reconnection.
